01 Challenge

Make AI adoption feel actionable

Many small businesses know they should explore AI but cannot tell whether the real blocker is leadership, data, tools, people or process. The product needed to make that uncertainty legible without asking for an account, a sales call or a long consulting questionnaire.

02 Approach

A short diagnostic with a useful payoff

The experience frames the assessment as a guided five-minute task. Questions are grouped around six capability areas, the language stays practical, and the output is positioned as an action plan rather than a vanity score. That gives the user a reason to finish and a clear bridge into deeper strategy work.

03 Execution

What I designed and built

I shaped the information architecture, assessment journey, result framing and responsive interface. The product uses progressive disclosure to keep the first screen calm, then surfaces the weakest capability, recommended technologies, useful resources and immediate next steps. SEO-ready metadata, structured data and a no-script content fallback make the tool discoverable as well as interactive.

04 Outcome

A stronger first interaction with Simam Digital

The finished platform turns a broad transformation conversation into a concrete diagnostic. It can stand alone as a free public tool, support content and search acquisition, and provide a more informed starting point for a subsequent AI strategy or digital transformation engagement.

Technical delivery

Designing for completion and trust

The important engineering decision was to make the product useful before it becomes persuasive. Every interaction earns the next one by reducing cognitive load and returning a tangible explanation of what the user should do next.

Progressive disclosure

The assessment avoids presenting a consulting framework as a wall of text. Users answer one bounded question at a time, while the surrounding copy explains why the category matters in plain language. The structure keeps the first interaction calm, gives the user a visible sense of progress and leaves room for more detail when a result needs context.

Scoring that leads to action

A score is only useful if it changes the next decision. Results are framed around priorities, technologies, resources and practical actions so a lower score feels like a route forward rather than a judgement. This makes the output useful in a founder conversation, internal planning session or first discovery call.

Public-tool SEO surface

The page includes meaningful HTML fallback content, canonical metadata, social cards and structured data. That lets search engines understand the tool while JavaScript powers the richer assessment experience for people. It also makes the project resilient when crawlers, previews or accessibility tools encounter the page without the full application runtime.

Frequently asked questions

Is it a client deployment?

No. This is a self-hosted Simam Digital product designed as a public diagnostic and a proof of how advisory knowledge can become a useful product experience.

Does it replace a transformation workshop?

No. It creates a shared baseline and prioritised starting point so a deeper workshop can spend time on decisions rather than basic discovery.
