01 Challenge

The product problem

Fleet teams need to interpret telemetry, route context and performance data without jumping between disconnected systems. The POC needed to communicate both the strategic product vision and the density of a working command environment.

02 Approach

Turning complexity into a usable product

I framed the experience around global awareness, vessel digital twins and performance optimisation. Strong visual hierarchy separates headline health indicators from deeper operational detail, allowing the product to work as both a stakeholder demo and an explorable interface.

03 Execution

What I designed and built

The platform uses a cinematic landing experience, dashboard preview, simulated live status and carefully structured capability messaging. It is self-hosted by Simam Digital as an NDA-safe demonstration rather than attributed to a confidential client.

04 Outcome

What the POC proves

The outcome is a polished maritime product POC that makes complex operational software tangible. It demonstrates frontend engineering, data-product thinking and the ability to translate an enterprise concept into a credible sales and discovery experience.

Technical delivery

How the product was shaped

This platform focused on command-level fleet operations: global awareness, vessel performance, route progress and logistics context presented through one high-density but navigable interface.

Designed around fleet questions

The interface separated three common modes: fleet overview, exception triage and vessel investigation. Global filters and consistent entity identifiers allowed users to move between those levels without losing time range or operational context, reducing the cognitive cost of several disconnected monitoring tools.

Telemetry with operational meaning

Raw time-series values become useful when tied to thresholds, trends, schedule or asset state. Components were structured so units, freshness and comparison context travelled with each metric. That architecture supports live adapters later without hard-coding one demonstration payload into every chart.

Density without dashboard noise

The visual hierarchy prioritised exceptions, status and the next investigative action while leaving deeper performance data one step away. Maps, KPIs and vessel details behaved as linked views of the same fleet model, making the POC credible as an operations product rather than a collection of attractive widgets.
