Technical delivery

How the product was shaped

This proof of concept explored how airport teams could move from fragmented operational views to one spatial decision surface. Its purpose was to test information architecture, interaction and stakeholder value before committing to production integrations.

Modelling airport operations as product state

Flights, stands, gates, turnaround activity and incidents operate on different timelines but need to be understood together. The prototype organised them around shared identifiers, status changes and operational priority so a map, list and detail panel could describe the same event without conflicting interpretations.

Designing the decision surface

Spatial context helped users locate an issue; structured panels explained its status and next action. Filters, severity treatment and progressive disclosure kept the interface readable during normal operation while allowing the same screen to surface exceptions. This was an information-architecture exercise as much as a visual dashboard.

A production-shaped proof of concept

The POC used realistic component boundaries and API-ready contracts so discussions could move beyond aesthetics into integrations, permissions and rollout. It is presented as an NDA-safe capability demonstration, not as a claim that simulated data represents a live airport deployment.
